Is it wrong to go out with him?

I’m only 15 and a guy I like asked me out. He's 17. Is that too much age difference? I think it's ok. But my parents think it's not.
What should I do? Help me please?

Tibor's reply:

Your parents are worried what could happen. The age difference is insignificant – nothing wrong about it. Let’s say it is an excuse.
They are protective of you.
It is better to prevent a possible problem and they don’t want anything bad happening to you.

As such I don’t think they worry about some two year age difference. You are simply in that ‘tender’ age when things can go terribly wrong.
Your parents love you and they have no other means to protect you.

Many teens date at this age and everything is just fine. The only guarantee is using common sense. Sometimes it works – sometimes not.
It may happen a boyfriend turns out to be a very different person once you are both alone.
Use your own judgement, discuss with your parents and make sure everything is within limits and law.
