Clean Penis

There is no problem to keep a clean penis. But first, let's look at some of ingenious excuses we are given.

I've read this somewhere: a five year old boy asked her mom why boys were circumcised. After her answer (so they can keep clean) her son asked: 'and mom, will they cut out their bums, too?' That is how children perceive reality.

Once the boys are around the age of six-ish, they should be taught how to retract their foreskin and wash it with clear water. In some cases this might be at much later age, depending on individuals.

How to do it?

• Pull the foreskin back - very gently. Clean with warm water without any soaps.

• Return the foreskin back as it was before.

What to avoid?

• We do not check on him (you bet he will be keen to be healthy).

• We do not force it in any case.

Usually the question of cleanliness of the penis does not come up until the puberty when more smegma is being produced. Smegma and penis foreskin are beneficial to men. There is no excuse to get circumcised just because it is easier to clean the penis.
