Circumcised vs Uncircumcised

Circumcised vs Uncircumcised a highly controversial subject.

What does circumcision mean? It's simply a removal of foreskin of the penis. Approximately 30% of men all around the world had been circumcised. It is generally accepted it started as a part of ritual offerings and other religions reasons as far as old Egypt goes...

Circumcised Penis

Practiced by religions, culture, cults, later our doctors...

Main excuses to get circumcised:

Hygienic and easy to clean. It is said it lowers the risk of getting HIV via penile-vagina contact. Pressure from peers, literature, etc...

But:

It is extremely painful. Creates trauma for babies. Violates human rights. May have complications after skin removal. Many regret and would like to have it reversed. We are not going to describe each religion and their reasons behind circumcision here.

Non religious circumcision:

Became popular in many English speaking countries such as USA, Australia, UK, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa. The main excuse being reducing bacteria and many diseases with it.
Also it was believed it would deter from masturbation. (A very good point when it comes to Circumcised vs Uncircumcised)

Sexual effects:

Mixed opinions. It is widely argued what it does in actual sexual life.

Once the glans is exposed it becomes more sensitive till it actually 'numbs' and gradually decreases its sensitivity. This can be highly undesirable during later years when erectile dysfunction is quite common and sensitivity becomes a priority.

A closer look at Circumcised vs Uncircumcised --

Why is it good to be uncircumcised?

The skin is natural and it is there for a purpose, protecting gland from diseases. Smegma underneath assists lubrication of glans especially during foreskin retraction.

Moral of it:

There are only approximately one third of men circumcised. Mostly for religion and cultural reasons. Many do it just because they have pressure from peers such as in school environment.

There is plenty of evidence the skin is there for a purpose. It has thousands of nerve endings serving a purpose.

Penis must been cleaned regardless if it is or not circumcised; there is no excuse to cut off the foreskin.
It is easy to teach a boy to wash his penis.

Should I get circumcised?

In my opinion no. You might have a different point of view. As I would not go to cut off any part of my body unless it is due to an emergency.

Our bodies went through thousands of years of evolution. And suddenly we are allowed to assume it is all wrong because 'John told me so..???'; or; because Andrew has no foreskin?
Who is John? And who cares about Andrew?

I would just tell them; what a shame. You are missing such an important part of your body. I'm so lucky I don't have the same problem as you do.

That should quieten any smart person trying to talk you to go under the 'guillotine'.
You should love yourself and respect your body better than someone's else worthless advice.

What about girls? Is it gross to be uncircumcised?

NEVER (had to emphasize this) in my life I came across discussing this subject with a woman. Uncircumcised, I feel completely natural and I never ever had a feeling or urge to even think about it.

The thought to write this article came purely while reading endless questions of stressed boys. There are some women who have some different opinions, there always are... We cannot be all exactly same.

To be a real man it is expected of us to have values, to be good and strong at the same time. That means being able to stand behind our own believes and to be able to tell others off.

If a girl would be 'grossed' about my uncut penis I would be seriously looking for a new one.

(I'll give you a good example: A guy would be grossed out because his girlfriend has natural breasts -but your friends told you implants were more fashionable, Sue has it as well???...)
